Welcome to la Phoenikera Writers' Guild

Who We Are

la Phoenikera Writers’ Guild (laPWG) offers a safe space for community builders and scholars to develop and cultivate ideas outside of institutional settings. We collaboratively document current and historical lived experiences to engage in a larger dialogue around issues affecting our communities.  We believe in the power of radical healing in our communities through collective research, storytelling, and artistic expression.

Through these endeavors, laPWG encourages community builders, scholars, and artists to cultivate various levels of craft, develop and enhance community collaborations, engage in social activism, publish/disseminate work, and develop teaching, organizing and writing partnerships.
